"The Business History of Everything"

Information for Authors and Editors

If you have a recently published book, or are the editor of a journal in a field related to business history, please contact your publisher and urge them to participate in our free Book and Journals Exhibit. Direct them to the information available on the BHC Conference web pages, specifically to the page of information for publishers at www.thebhc.org/annmeet/pubinfo10.html.

The number of publishers who participate in the BHC exhibit increases each year, but smaller presses often do not plan to display their wares unless they are contacted by an author. Also, though publishers tend to display only new titles, they are usually willing to include any item still in print, especially for authors who will be in attendance at the meeting. We do an e-mailing to exhibit managers of publishers with large business history lists, but the display of single titles may require direct intervention by authors.

If this route fails, individual authors whose publishers are unable to participate in the BHC exhibit are welcome to provide display copies of their work, accompanied by a flyer if desired. It's not necessary to submit a registration form, but we do request that you email Pat Denault about your plans so we can anticipate space requirements. It is expected that volumes individually included in the Book and Journal Exhibit will be donated to the organization for the auction. We regret that we cannot be responsible for the return of any books or other materials included in the display.

Flyers announcing forthcoming books are also welcome!
