The Exchange (Blog)

The Exchange is a blog sponsored by the Business History Conference and devoted to news about and of interest to business and economic historians. It highlights news of direct interest to the BHC membership, but its wider aim is to provide quick and easy access to information of interest to all in the fields of business and economic history.

"The Exchange" began operation in April 2010; Pat Denault founded it and Paula de la Cruz-Fernándezhas been maintained since 2018. It takes its name and logo from Exchange Alley, a passage that connected shops and coffeehouses in the City of London. In the early eighteenth century, the coffeehouses became a venue for the lively trading of shares and commodities, as well as financial information.
